Bobo explores with HelloTyler! Our new podcast is complete. This month we review Bobo Explores Light, which is an iPad app that we found very fun.
My dad and I have been working on an iPad app for the last month. The app is an interactive advent calendar. I drew two characters that live in an igloo. Every day, starting December 1, users can open up a new present every day for the characters to interact with. I drew all the artwork on paper, then I colored all of it in Photoshop. I learned a lot of Photoshop features that I didn’t know about before. I also created some frame based animation for the different items. I’ve created some games on my own before this, but this is the first time I ever worked on one so detailed. My dad taught me some programming basics like functions, event listeners, arrays, objects and other geeky stuff. My little sister helped with the sound effects.
Here is some artwork from the calendar. I will post another update when the app is in the store. We are hoping to also put the app in the Android Marketplace.
Disney is making a Muppet movie and releasing it at Thanksgiving. I can’t wait to see it! Here is the trailer.
In case the title didn’t get your attention, let me tell you that the podcast is in the iTunes store! Here is the link if you want to subscribe that way (please do):

Games: Video Games
Technology
It’s Sly Cooper’s birthday! Today is the ninth anniversary of when Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus was released. This is one of the video games that started it all for me. I still remember the day that my dad rented it. He went to the video store to rent “Donald Duck Going Quackers.” The store didn’t have that game, so my dad decided to rent Sly Cooper instead. Without Sly I may not be into video games as much, have taken a game creator class, or have made this blog or my podcast! To celebrate this memorable day, I have made some fan art as a birthday present that I would like to share. Happy Birthday Sly!
Murray and Bentley are stealing the loot, while Sly is leaving his little “signature note.”
This is a fun brain teaser that my teacher gave us in math class.
My first podcast is finally up! In this first episode, I talked about Phineas and Ferb, Little Big Planet, a trip to the Pacific Northwest, Spiderman comics, Little House on the Prairie books, and more! I hope you enjoy.
By the way, I said in the podcast that the website was coming soon, but I decided to go ahead and finish it up! Woo hoo! I will try to post a new podcast every month.
