When Disney’s Imagineers created the PeopleMovers for Disneyland, they were meant to showcase the technology as the future of public transportation. For years, Disney made attempts to market PeopleMovers for implementation outside of their parks. But only one PeopleMover was ever built from this effort — in the basement of the Houston Airport. This is the story of its creation, and the history leading up to it.

As Disney deals with the tragedy of Frank Wells’ death, Eisner attempts to steer the company forward. But as the executives deal with the emotional fallout of their friend’s passing, tensions between Katzenberg and the team finally reach its boiling point.

Between Sesame Street and the Muppet Show sits Jim’s ill-fated, short lived segment, known as “The Land of Gorch”. (Sometimes spelled Gortch.)
